Vivek holds a PGDM from Symbiosis, Pune, having graduated with a B. Comm (Hons) from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He is also a FLAME scholar in investing. He has more than 17 years of rich experience of investing in the Indian equity markets. Prior to Edelweiss, he was a Fund Manager -Equities at PGIM India MF, steering their Midcap (Morningstar 5-star rated) and Aggressive Hybrid Fund. He also has sell-side experience, having worked at ICICI Securities, leading their industrial practice. During his tenure, PGIM India Midcap rose in ranks to feature among the top 3 funds in the category on a 3-year and 5-year performance basis. Further, in the approximately 1 year he managed the fund, the Aggressive Hybrid Fund turned into a top quartile fund from being the last ranked fund in that category. He is a great proponent of GARP (Growth at a Reasonable Price) philosophy and does not shy away from switching between growth and value strategies based on market conditions, while respecting fund benchmarks at the same time.
